Our most popular products are undoubtedly our different variants of trout. While we can often deliver other species, we specialize in live rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, and golden trout from certified Danish and French fish farms. We also supply disease-free fertilized eggs for breeders. All our fish are raised under the most natural conditions possible.

Freia Forellen is especially known for our lively, high-quality trout. All our products come from Category 1 fish farms that comply with Danish and European environmental laws and regulations.

With more than 45 years of experience in breeding, selling, and transporting live fish, fry, and eggs, we have deep insights into fish lifecycles, health, and care – benefiting our customers.

Healthy fish are the foundation of our success. Our strict health protocol ensures that all our fish, eggs, and fry are certified disease-free through TRACES and free of VHS.

Freia Mix

(different trout species)

– is our latest package and has been specially developed for put-and-take lakes. With the Freia Mix, you get a selection of our different trout species – rainbow trout, brook trout, brown trout, and golden trout – all raised with the same high quality and care that you always find in Freia Forellen’s products.

  • Fish sizes: 800 grams to 2 kg.

Rainbow Trout

(Oncorhynchus mykiss)

– the most popular species in Danish aquaculture. We are specialists and major producers of farmed rainbow trout:

  • Fry and juvenile fish from 3-22 cm.
  • Fish for consumption from 200 gram.
  • “Salmon Trout” from 400 gram.

Brook Trout

(Salvelinus fontinalis)

– the trout with the reddish belly. With us, you can purchase Brook Trout in the following sizes:

  • Fry and juvenile fish from 3-20 cm.
  • Fish for consumption from 200 gram. 

Brown Trout

(Salmo trutta fario)

– the trout with the beautiful spots. Freia Forellen can supply brook trout fry and stocking fish in various sizes:

  • Fry and juvenile fish from 3-20 cm.
  • Fish for consumption from 200 gram.

Golden Trout

(Oncorhynchus mykiss)

– is a variety of rainbow trout and can be recognized by its very yellow color.

We also offer fertilized eggs from all four trout species, certified free of diseases like VHS, IPN, BKD, PKD, IHN and whirling disease.

Although we are experts in trout, depending on the season and demand, we can also offer you various species of live sturgeon, eels (Anguilla anguilla), and carp (Cyprinus carpio).
